about us
We are guided by the belief that dance students in WA deserve the best on offer. Whether they are committed to a professional career or simply love to have fun dancing, we want their dedication rewarded with the knowledge that their training here is on par with the rest of Australia and the world.
The Perth School of Ballet is the combined vision of Founding Directors Janine Ban & Simone Jackson-Pike. From the very beginning, their aim was to provide dance education in Western Australia that is world-class and that is also for everyone.
Joined in 2000 by Kathryn Harris (Artistic Director, Contemporary) and in 2004 by Nicole Murray (Managing Director), PSB grew to be one of the leading dance schools in Australia. When Nicole Murray stepped down as Director in early 2022 Janine Lindsay stepped up into a Director role.
While PSB has enjoyed international success, with students accepted in companies and international schools in Canada, England, France and more (see Alumni), we have not forgotten our original vision: for everyone.
We are delighted to have served the WA community since 1966 – first as The Bonny Parker School of Classical Ballet, then as PSB. Our dream is to continue to inspire and train young dancers for decades to come.
