Online Holiday Classes
We’ve been at work trialing online ballet, modern, contemporary and fitness classes and now we have a great program for you for during the school holidays! We’ve got classes for all ages – from some fun ballet for our Tiny Tots & Kindy kids through to our ‘big’ kids. Our teachers are ready to go and will be waiting for you in our PSB Zoom Rooms.
In consideration of having to end Term 1 early and because we really want to give you the opportunity to have a go doing classes online, we’re offering all our school holiday classes completely FREE!
Along with our usual classes you’ll notice we have a few exciting new classes to try. We encourage you all to try any class that is age appropriate, including a couple listed below. Don’t worry about uniforms, equipment or experience. Just come and join and see how you like it.
BODY CONDITIONING: A class designed to create and maintain the flexibility and corresponding strength required of a dancer. We recommend this class for all students Grade 2 and above.
CORE & CARDIO: A high intensity class designed to get the heart pumping and muscles working. Recommended for students in Grade 2 and above.
PROGRESSING BALLET TECHNIQUE (PBT): Progressing Ballet Technique is an innovative program developed by Marie Walton-Mahon for students to understand the depth of training muscle memory in achieving their personal best in classical ballet. The Program encourages the use of muscle memory to improve students understanding of core stability, weight placement and alignment. Recommended for students in Grade 2 and above.
So now what? This is what to do from here:
Firstly, register for classes as per usual via our online portal which can be accessed here.
Once you have finished registering for all classes go back into your child’s portal. From there you’ll be able to see all classes you’re registered for along with the meeting IDs and passwords required for each class. Make note of these as this is what you’ll need to enter each meeting/class.
NB: almost all classes have a different meeting ID so take note of each of them. And don’t worry, if you lose track of which ID is for which class you can always log back into your portal and check anytime.
Next, download Zoom onto preferably a tablet or laptop. Ideally you want it on a device with the biggest screen possible that also has a camera & microphone. A phone is also an option if a tablet or laptop aren’t. Find a space in your house with room to move and groove.
At the designated class time, log into Zoom using the meeting ID and password. Most devices will ask for permission to access video and microphone, please say yes. And that’s it!
Have a great Easter break and we look forward to seeing your smiling faces online next week.
