The Perth School of Ballet Adult Program is designed to provide tuition for adults who are new to dance, as well as those returning to classes after a break, or those who do class regularly and are looking to add another class to their schedule.
What are the benefits of doing ballet as an adult?
From the physical aspect, students increase flexibility, gain core strength and improve posture as well as tone areas such as upper arms, back, abdominals, glutes, quads, hamstrings, inner thighs and calves. Although much of the ballet class is a slow and controlled workout, there is also a cardio element during the “jumps” section.
From a psychological point of view, many students find ballet to be a great way to feel creative, learn new skills, meet new people, relieve stress, have fun and feel good about themselves.
Our Adult Classes
Our Adult Ballet classes follow the traditional class format with barre work followed by centre work.
Our pointe class is open to all levels of dancers, from beginners through to advanced.
